Prof Roland Griffiths was a pioneer scientist in investigating how psychedelics can help treat depression, addictio, psychological distress, help patients with a life-threatening cancer diagnosis and end of life anxiety. He was professor of neuroscience, psychiatry, and behavioral science, and the founding director of the Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In this talk he discusses legitimate ways that psychedelic drugs can be used to create spiritually meaningful, personally transformative experiences.
